i have a 2000 jeep gc 2wd with the 4.0l, my mods are listed as follows...k&n fipk cai,63mm bored throttle body, 63mm throttle body spacer, banks headers, magnaflow hi flow cat converter, and a gibson performance exhaust, just picked up a superchips programmer can any1 give me a realistic estimate in hp/tq for me? my guess is 265hp/300lbs tq is that possible or am i dilussional?
i have basically decided to either go with a gibson or a magnaflow but im open to other suggestions
I hear good things from everyone about flowmaster but i cant find one that will be a custom fit and i dont really want to pay for an install i have a 98 jeep wrangler gibson and magnaflow have custom fits but i dont know how good they are
i have a 2000 jeep g.c its a 2wd with the 4.0l ls, it is lowered and have a k&n fipk c.a.i., bored 63mm throttle body and a bored 1inch spacer to match, banks headers, magnaflow hi-flow cat and a gibson performance exhaust, i also have an manual exhaust cutout(dump) b4 my cat a lil after my down pip from headers, and a superchips programmer, removed my roof rack and am planing to go to the track for the 1st time can any1 give me adecent estimate as to wat i can expect? is a 14 possible?
I have a 1999 lincoln navigator and i'm going to change the exhaust system to a Gibson Aluminized Swept Side Performance Cat-Back Exhaust System.
My exhaust system is falling apart. I have a nice stainless steal gibson exhaust lying around. Only problem is it's for a 6 cylinder version of my truck and I have a 2.2l 4 cylinder. Can I fabricate the new system to fit without losing power?
So I have a 2005 silverado reg cab with a v6 4.3l. I was wondering what type of muffler could I put on my truck to give it a deep sound? I was thinking like a flowmaster, magnaflow, Gibson etc. But which type and model would sound the best?
i have a 2000 wj with the 4.0l i have a k&n cai headers hi flow cat and gibson exhaust i am considering buying a bored throttle body form wat i understand our stock t.b necks down to 55mm while bored will be 63mm all the way thru and it comes with a spacer bored to match is it worth buying/? and would i really gain any hp? and would i feel/hear it right away?
will a bigger throttle body and a bored spacer to match and an exhaust cutout/dump after the headers and before the cat give me any extra horsepower to what i already have? which is a 2000 jeep gr cherokee k&n cai banks headers gibson exhaust and a hi flo cat could any1 give me a realistic estimate?
Jim
Jim woke up early that morning, had a quick cup of coffee, very dark, for he liked it that way, and went on his way to work. He drove a truck. A Ford pickup. American bred, just like Jim. His work was construction and he liked his work, even at six o’clock on a Monday morning before the sun had even risen. Jim always felt that a man ought to work his hardest and only felt satisfied when he came home smelly, dirty, and exhausted to a nice, big meal from his wife. As Jim thought of this, Jim suddenly felt a pang of nostalgia for his good old days as a child helping his pa in the construction business, but as quickly as it began, it passed and Jim went back to work, his course fingers gripping his old, worn out hammer with newfound determination and resolve. The hammer was an old model bought from the local shop owned by Billy Palmer. Jim could still remember when he bought the hammer. He could still feel Billy’s breath, with the faint smell of whiskey in the air, as Billy leaned in close to Jim and said "This is the damn best hammer you ever gonna find. Its gonna last you damn near a lifetime. " Billy’s store no longer existed. Neither did Billy, who just moved away one day, not saying goodbye to anyone. Jim missed Billy. Not Billy the man, but Billy the memory. The memory of Jim0s childhood before all of this new technology. Modernism, they called it. Jim didn’t like modernism. He liked the good-old days. Jim remembered that he had a job to do and stopped thinking. Too much thinking was bad in a job like construction. It threw you off track, like a curveball from Bob Gibson did back in the day. Today Jim had to remodel the bathroom of a floor. He worked very methodically, taking his time with every little detail. There was no rush for Jim because Jim knew that the worst type of job is a rushed job. He could still remember when he did his first job with his dad. It was a cold day. The wind chilled you to the bone. It had snowed the previous night so the whole town was a luminous shade of white. As Jim and his dad drove to the construction site, his dad gave him, what Jim thought, was the best advice anyone ever gave to him. "Son" said Jim’s dad in that husky, gruff voice that Jim could so clearly hear in his mind, even to this day "The most important thing in construction is to take your time. There is no worse feeling than a poorly done job." Then Jim’s dad turned on the radio and the smooth sounds of Elvis Presley filled the car as dad and son drove on through the gleaming white town. Eventually Jim finished the floor. It sparkled like like a precious jewel gleaming in the sun. The new tiles looked splendid when compared with the blue wallpaper on the walls. Jim admired his work for a second, and then lit a cigarette. He knew that Margaret didnt like when he smoked, and he tried to stop, He really did try, but the allure of the cigarette was too appealing for him. Jim slowly walked back to his truck, the precious blue smoke making lazy circles above his head. Jim savored this part of his job. He knew he had accomplished something tangible, something real. This was what drove Jim on. He had done something that people could admire years after he was gone. Jim drove home a happy, content man.
This is supposed to be a story following the theme of realism. There does not necessarily have to be a plot...

I have a '01 blazer I am looking to do the exhaust on. And I can not decide if I sould get a Gibson or Dynomax
I'm thinking about buying a gibson cat-back exhaust for my 96 3.0 liter ranger any advice?
thinking about buying a gibson cat-back exhaust for my 96 3.0 liter ranger, would it make it sound better?
I have a 1997 Mercury Mountaineer 5.0L V8 AWD and the 2 cat-back performance exhaust kit options I have are Doug Thorley Headers (the cat-back kit, not the headers) or Gibson. which would be better quality?
What company makes the best sounding aftermarket exhaust system for a Chevy S10 Extreme 4.3L V6? I want something with a good and loud sound I was looking at Flowmaster, Magna Flow, and Gibson. What company should I go with?
I'm not finished. But it is about a girl that forgot her memory and only remembers the nightmare she had. My current title is Jamie Gibson but I dont think that is a good title. Any ideas?
here is the story...
Jamie Gibson
Chapter One: Chaser
Whatever it was, it was getting closer. I didn't look behind myself and kept running. My heart was pounding and pounding. Harder and harder, as if my heart was a drum banging like scary lighting flashing right between my eyes. I couldn't run anymore, but I couldn't stop. I ran by an old abandon house, I quickly turned around. I almost slipped on the ground because their was no friction between my sneakers and the cold ice. I ran to the doorway and pushed the squeaky door. I felt the front of my sneakers hit something cold, something breathing, something alive. It was an old woman lying down on her side with her arms around her legs trying to protect herself from the cold. I felt the cold wind hitting my horrified face. I tripped over the scary lady. My chin hit the squeaky wooden floor. My face was smacked by the wooden floor. My face and the rest of my body was in lots of pain. I didn't know what to do. I just wanted to die that instant. I didn't want to live to go though the pain I was feeling. I would rather be happy dyeing this instant. He was here, at the door steps. Staring at me. Coming closer and closer each step. Staring into my dark brown eyes looking deep into them while walking closer. My heart was pounding hard again. Why couldn't I just die? I waited till he could just do it. Just do it already so I could die. He got closer then.... I couldn't see anything. It was all white. Everything around me was white, but their wasn't anything near me. Just white. It was as if I was in an empty white room. Was I in heaven? Did I finally die? I slowly put my right hand to my warm neck. I couldn't feel it. I couldn't see it. Did the burn mark disappear? I must have been in heaven. Suddenly the white vanished and turned to black. Dark scary black. With lighting roaring in the sky like hungry lions that haven't ate in months and has finally cached their pray. Now I must've been in hell. What did I do to deserve this? I quickly put my hand on my neck. This time my neck was cold, and the burn mark was there. After a few seconds the black disappeared. My hands were warm. I smelt some food. It smelt like... eggs being cooked. The smell of the food woke me up. I noticed I was on a bed next to a fire place. I got up off the bed slowly while being aware of my surroundings. I looked next to the bed. It was a picture...a picture of me and the lady I saw in the abandon house. In the picture, she was much pretty and happy. She had her arms around me. I was really surprised. The room was pink, with a pink pillow, a pink bed, a pink dresser, a pink mirror. I looked in the pink mirror. It saw myself. Sweating. I put my hand on my neck. Hot and sweaty but not a scar on my neck at all. I saw myself wearing pink PJs. I went down the stairs following the wonderful smell of eggs. I saw the old woman again. She was in the kitchen cooking those eggs I smelled. "Good morning Jamie" she said with a big smile. I stared at her for a minute. Why couldn't I remember anything. All I could remember was that awful nightmare I had. Was my name Jamie? Who am I? What was happening to me?
'What's wrong dear?" the lady asked.
"No--Nothing..." She smiled.
"I made you some breakfast sweetie."
"Thank you."
"You can watch TV if you want dear."
"Okay..." I said while walking to the big television in the living room. After fifteen minutes of watching TV, breakfast was ready. "Come dear breakfast is ready." I turned off the TV and walked to the kitchen. I took a seat at the table and stared at my plate. Scrambled eggs, bacon, strawberries, sausages with a drink of orange juice. I took a sip of the orange juice. It tasted pretty good. Then I tasted the eggs, it was---the taste was unexplainable. It was magnificent. I finished my breakfast and said thank you to the lady. I went upstairs to my room. I looked at myself in the mirror for a long minute. I closed my eyes and put my hand on my neck. No scar, no pain, nothing. I felt tired. I wanted to go back to sleep but I was too worried about having another nightmare. I closed my eyes and fell on my bed. The soft pillow felt good on my stressed out neck. It was a good feeling to feel relaxed. I looked at the calendar next to my dresser. May 1st, 2009. I looked at the clock after. 8:27 am, I felt exhausted again and just wanted to sleep. I lied on my bed. I slowly closed my eyes. I couldn't sleep. I went back downstairs. Confused, I didn't know what was going on. I went downstairs. "Umm, I don't know anything."
"What do you mean sweetie?"
"Well, I had an awful nightmare.Ever since, I couldn't remember anything except that nightmare."
"So you don't know who I am?"
"Well....I don't."
"It's okay dear, I'm your Grandma Su, and yo
you're Jamie Gibson."
"Umm.... Please tell me more."
"Well hmm... You are 14, born on September 13, 1993. You are a sweet and cheerful girl."
I stood still. Frozen... I could remember one thing. Something... it was me, but I looked horrifying. Just in my nightmare. Instead of my golden hair, it was black. My clothes were black. Everything was black.
"Sweetie? You look sick, you should go to sleep."
I slowly nodded. Su-- or Grandma Su was guiding me to my pink bedroom. Once I reached my bedroom. I lied on my bed. I put the covers over my face. And then put the covers under my arms. "Grandma..."
"Yes sweetie?"
"Where is mom and dad?" I asked
She took a deep breath.
"Sweetie... they.... passed away 4 years ago."
I was speechless.
"What did they look like?" I asked
"Well... Your mother had same hair as yours, Golden. She was kind of short. She hmm... well for one thing I was possessive that she was in love with ice cream. She loved it. She would have it for desert each night. She was a b
WOW... thanks you guys for the comps. I'm only 11 by the way xD well thanks
I want to get a new cat back system, but in a different style. I would like to have dual pipes coming out right before the rear tires, but would like dual tips on each pipe. do you know of where to buy this? perferably made by borla, gibson, magnaflow, or flowmaster. thanks
When I say full I mean, Headers, Exhaust System, and Air Intake. I was looking around on some sites and put together a Gibson Exhaust system with some like $200 headers and a K&N Intake for about $700
$700 is my limit, can anyone suggest parts?
ive got an 01 explorer sport and im lookin to put a new exhaust on it. i was thinkin either flowmaster, magnaflow, or gibson. i want a nice sound with not alot of drone and im lookin to improve preformance. what do you suggest?
Looking to put Gibson Headers and a Flowmaster exhaust on my 1998 ram 1500 will I be able to tell the difference or just notice the noise. And what else would be good for performance and horsepower. I already have a K&N cold air intake, Jet chip, and Jet 180 degree thermostat.
i have a stock suspension and i want to buy the Banks Monster exhaust system but i heard for the gibsons the exhausts fit differently for those wranglers with lift and those without. i dont want to buy the Banks and then not be able to install it cuz i dont have a lift or change the exhaust system after i get a lift.
I've recently added an exhaust system to my 2004 F250, twin pipes, twin cats into a single Gibson muffler with dual exits ... The air flow has increased but I notice alot of water coming out of the pipes and when I rev the engine it sounds sort of funny. Any suggestions?
Would there be a difference between a stock exhaust or a performance exhaust? Does anyone know what performance system would fit on this truck (Gibson, Pacesetter)? Thanks for all the help!
i have a 97 s10 with a gibson exhaust that was just installed. i have a stock cat on it right now and needs to be replaced because it broke apart and its not going to pass inspection. sound wise, would i be better putting on a high flow cat or the stock one?
i own a 2000 grand cherokee with the 4.0l inline 6, i have a k&n fipk cold air intake, airraid throttle body spacer, banks headers, magnaflow hi flo cat converter, and a gibson sweptside exhaust, just lowered it and took off the roof racks for aerodynamics...can anyone give me a estimate of my horsepower and possible 1/4 mile time? bout to take it to the track and dont wanna challenge the wrong person thanx in advance
helo everybody i have a 2000 jeep grand cherokee 4.0l with K&N cold air intake, banks headers, hi flo cat converter and gibson exhaust and just recently bought a throttle body spacer can any1 tell me what if any hp gain i can expect with all my mods?
i have a 2000 jeep grand cherokee with the 4.0l inline 6 i have a k&N f.i.p.k. cold air intake, throttle body spacer, banks headers, magnaflow hi-flo catyltic converter and a gibson sewptside high performance exhaust am considering buying a stage 2 chip and thermostat but before that ca nany one give me a n esimate on my horsepower and torque?
kbb is for selling and buying not determining hp
I am looking to purchase a 2000 GMC SONOMA SLS 4x4 with a 4.3L V6. The question I am asking is about the performance parts that have been installed on the truck, and if the engine is worthy of using it (or if it puts too much strain on it... performance parts added are: Powerdyne Supercharger, Grantanelli Mass Air Flow Meter, K&N Filter, and Gibson Exhaust. ANY ADVICE?
what is noticeably loud exhaust that i can add onto an 01 Tahoe that wont cost more that $500? I checked out some gibsons and flowmasters but i dont know how loud they are or how efficient they are. does anybody have an aftermarket exhaust on an 01-05 tahoe?
I'm looking for a exhaust with performance and sound in mind. I want to get a good gain in horsepower and I have my truck sounding mean.
Any advice would help.
my son has a 2000 jeep grand cherokee with the 4.0l inline six in it he had a k&n fipk cold air intake, airraid throttlebody spacer, banks headers, magnaflow high flow cat converter, and a gibson sweptside high performance exhaust. what i want to know is can any one accurately give me the exact hp? the person who answers the closest to the real answer gets best answer thank you gentleman and good luck
Will this give some extra HORSEPOWER?
I have a 2003 Nissan Pathfinder. I know that that Cold Air intake Systems can help improve Horsepower and MPG,But i have been also hearing that A Gibson Exhaust can help too, Does anybody have any input?
I've got a cold air intake installed on my 2005 SIlverado, but besides having an enjoyable sound, it won't do much for performance unless I can efficiently move out that extra air. I'm looking into Gibson ceramic headers and dual exhaust. I would think (I'm pretty certain) that doing this would lower gas mileage. More air moving through means that more fuel must be introduced into the system to maintain the optimum ratio. Obviously using more fuel will bring your mileage down.
I can't believe what I am reading, in an interview with Charles Gibson of ABC , asked if the US should go to war with Russia if they invaded Georgia, she said, "perhaps so."
Perhaps so?!!!!
Is she crazy?!! They will turn Alaska from glaciers into steam and the rest of the lower 48 into a glass parking lot. That would really put a crimp on her moose hunting.
Is she serious?!! She didn't even mention diplomacy or exhausting other means of avoiding a war.
Is she really ready to be part of the executive branch of our government?
If all Palin wants to sacrifice the lives of 300 million Americans for the lives of a small country, than is she really fit to be Vice President? I thought their slogan was our country first?
Russia is sending warships to the Caribbean in a few weeks. One ship, "Peter the Great" is the largest missile cruiser in the world. Armed with 500 supersonic nuclear-tipped cruise missiles. Enough firepower to take the US back to the Stone Age. Does Sarah Palin want to tangle with that?!!
Georgia is not a member of NATO. And according to the NATO charter, no nation can be considered for NATO membership until it resolves all it's territorial disputes and separatist issues. Both Georgia and the Ukraine have ongoing territorial disputes.
What is the best (most durable, best hp gain, etc...) exhaust system I can buy? Just a brand name is fine.
I looked at a few and I have found:
Gibson
Magnaflow
DynoMax
Flowmaster
I have an '01 Mazda B3000 Regular Cab Pickup if that helps.
Which is the best for the money, and why?
Just put 1200 dollars in tires and wheels a few months ago now ready to do sum more stuff with my truck! (don't say lift it because i really wanted to but gas is crazy high and id have to regear it to get decent gas mileage) Anyway, I really like the look of the gibson extreme dual exhaust because it goes out the back at an angle. I get tired of everybody having the same flowmasters that go straight back. I could just get straight pipes and bend them but i'd have to find someone to do it for me. Do any of you guys know if gibson exhaust sounds good? Also what kind/ brand of chip should i put in my truck to beef it up a little but not so much that it wears out the transmission or engine.
so i got a Gibson Exhaust System and a AFE Cold Air Intake it said it will add 30% more horsepower which should be around 57 more hp and i put a heavy duty trans oil cooler i should be good driving though the mountains
should I go with a Magnaflow Magnapacks Cat-Back Exhaust or "GIBSON AMERICAN MUSCLE CAR EXHAUST, ALUMINIZED or a FLOWMASTER FORCE II EXHAUST SYSTEM KIT, ALUMINIZED STEEL looking for a extremly loud and all the performance I can get thanks Lee
I have a 96 K1500 Suburban stroked to a 383, Volant cold air intake, CPU tuned and looking to add headers and dual exhausts. Are Gibsons that much better than say Hooker? Does my truck require headers "with air injection"? I've also heard that headers ruin your engine, any truth to that?
What are the advantages to chrome, ceramic, or black? My engine isn't built for "show", so which would you recommend?
So i have a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a inline 6 4.0 engine... im looking for a good exhaust (like cat back system) with a decent sound and a good reliablity... prefer something i could install myself??? Found a gibson... would it be worh it to take it to a shop and do a custom one??? Let me know what you think?
i want to by a gibson exhaust system that comes with a dual exhaust. So do i need 1 or 2 Catalytic Converters
Car: 06 Dodge Ram 1500
I have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport with a Gibson cat-back exhaust system on it. Im replacing the muffler with a louder muffler. Im looking for something that is very loud outside but also inside my jeep. I was thinking a Flowmaster Super 44. Any suggestions?
